I'm not sure exactly where to put this, and I'm not sure I should post about this at all. The only reason I feel the need to, is that I'm worried some of you take me a little too seriously.
Here are some things you should know about me:
Like my profile says, I'm only 21 years old. I've been keeping reptiles since I was young, but have only really begun to take a serious interest in leopard geckos in the past few years. This is my third year breeding. I've only had my rescue open for a few months.
I rely very heavily on the advice of other members of the reptile community as well as that of my veterinarian. I am just a quick and thorough study on subjects that fascinate me and will, therefore, occasionally come off as more knowledgeable than I actually am.
I am not the owner of this website, nor am I a moderator. I am just a member of this forum. Like many of you, I am here to learn and to glean advice from fellow reptile lovers.
Please do not take what I say as gospel. I am up for a debate if you disagree. Don't immediately yield to me because you think that I know more than you and therefore must be right. I would hate to accidentally give wrong advice and have you do more harm than good for your little one(s).
That being said, I'm always happy to help and I appreciate the respect that a lot of members on here are giving me. Just remember that while I'll offer my advice on any topic that I think I can help with, my advice is not always the end-all, be-all of general knowledge. Please take others' advice into consideration as well when thinking about how best to care for your animals and, most of all, understand that I'm NOT a veterinarian and cannot give medical diagnoses or advise true medical treatment.
Thanks, guys.
