Personally I am not a fan of using metal dishes with my reptiles. I use the disposable worm dishes for food and water and think they work perfect. The lip which keeps worms in also keeps water. With hatchlings I don't use the lip just in case they can't find their way back out of the hole.

I'm with Travis, the plastic worm dishes work perfect for worms and water. You can wipe them out when you change their water and don't have to toss them. If you do throw them out, recycle them.

I went to a dollar store and bought 5 plastic tupperware type containers that had a 80/20 divide in them, the larger one provides a nice large shallow water dish and the smaller side provides a great food dish, best part is, dish washer safe haha. paid around 4 dollars for 5 containers.

I've never had a tip over with the lid cups. They are wide enough not to flip over. They can walk all over them and no problems. I highly recommend them.

Dollar store candlestick holders (glass) work best with me for their water. My gang loves to turn everything over.:main_rolleyes:
I use the disposable plastic dish for my worms.

I would say plastic over metal...altho I use ceramic ones I got from a pet store going out of business they are easy to clean and don't flip easy..... most stores have them for around $1 or 2

I use a plastic rock bowl. I have made a rock bowl before, just take a flat chunk of rock and rub a round stone in circles in the center of the flat rock to make a depression.Just keep working it until its down. Also, to prevent tipping you can add gravel(aquarium grade) to the bottom of the bowl.

I use the ceramic ones from the pet store for my adults, and Gatorade caps for my babies, the tiny mealworms usually don't get out of the caps

We've had GREAT success with lab grade corning pyrex petri dishes, 60mmx15mm size. You can buy them online. They are awesome, our customers love them, glass so they don't get tipped, are simple to clean, and last forever. We use them in our racks for water, mealies, and minerals. The clear glass encourages feeding too because the leos can see into them from the side. They cost about $5 ea (per half). They can be bought by the carton (24 halves) as well and are a bit cheaper if you can use that many.

I do like the petri dish I got from you when I purchased a gecko awhile back. Thanks for the link, I was just wondering where to buy them heh.
