Depression, stress, and pain...

I don't know what else to say. The title of this thread says it all.

I am now on the maximum dose of Cymbalta, 1500 mg a day of Neurontin, jacked up on steroids and Oxycontin. Just waiting for a surgery date. It's all I can do to even take care of my geckos. I just feel like crying or sleeping all the time.

Please don't give up on me....

I hope you start feeling better soon. I know this community wouldn't be the same without you in it. Im sorry for all your going through. I am also very depressed and sad and stressed and pain from being stressed&depressed but only because it seems like everything I do I fall on my face when we try to better ourselves we get a slap to the face and we have to walk up a mountain to get where we need to be once again. Im sorry I hope all goes better

a friend of mine was recently placed on some form of mild anti depressant. It's never an easy road, but it can be traveled. I do not know you myself but admitting you needed the help and support alone means you're a strong individual, whether or not you want to admit it. Don't give up on yourself, as cliche as my post has been, stick it out. If I need to i'll find some cute poster of a cat hanging off a branch with the caption "Hang in there!"

Thanks everyone. I know it probably sounds like I'm on my pity-pot... and I am. I'm still waiting for a surgery date. I'll need bone grafts for 3 vertebrae. The pain is really wearing me down. I just can't seem to get motivated, and I have so many geckos to take care of. I guess it's a blessing I'm having such a crappy season.

Marcia, your real friends will never give up on you no matter what... If any of your friends give up on you because of your current life situation, well they are not really a friend... Therefore you will be better off without them... You know who you can really call your friend when you are down and out...

There are many people out there who will pretend to be your friend until they get what they want from you... Once you have nothing left to offer but friendship, they move on to the next best thing...

The ones who stick by you at your worst are truely there for you and not for what you can do for them...
