This is the first season I'm breeding Mack snows without using a super snow as a breeder. I love the look of the super snow and love producing them (only 2 so far from my Mack snow x Mack snow) but I've realized that unless you know exactly where your super snow breeder comes from, the fact that all of them are black and white has some disadvantages. There's no way to know what kind of color genetics the gecko is carrying. I bred my supersnow male to a variety of females for 3 seasons and found that a majority of the snows were an unattractive (to me) grayish yellow. This year, for the first time, I have a hypo snow male (thanks Thad) with a nice pale yellow color. The babies all have a much nicer yellow to pale yellow color.

This is very true. When I have SS coming from my Creamsicle project they tend to have reduced spotting and a brighter white, but other than that most SS look very similar. However, all my ss from my cream project produce snows that have some nice color on them as well as most snows from using one of my SS also are hypo (ranging from full hypo to very little).
