do they normally do this?

Dent before they hatch? Our DB enigma egg(only one was fertile) was 1 month on the 27th in the male incubator. It has been super plump up until today. I just checked on it and the sides are all indented but the egg shell isn't dried out like when an egg doesn't get enough water.

I've never noticed this with any of our other eggs. I guess bc I've been checking the incubator like 6 times a day hoping there's a white gecko turning circles in the deli cup. lol. Most of the eggs I usually am not as excited about.

thats what happened with my beardie eggs, as well as sweating, mind you the whole clutch took 1 week to all hatch so I pretty much got to see all of them hatching. Leopard eggs I have heard they do the same but I have never caught a leo hatch.
One minute the egg is there cooking away the next a little baby is there. Talk about fast little buggers!
Hopefully this one you can catch, and if its a DB enigma I definatly want to see pics!!
Good Luck

Some of mine have looked dented and shriveled for days before hatching and some just popped without ever denting.

Its only what, 37 days??? You still have a few more to go... Dont go doing anything silly like adding more water to you incubation container or cutting the egg open...
Just chill and leave it alone... If it is going to hatch, it will do so just fine...

lol, it's ok...we know. I'm just impatient. I don't cut eggs until they are uber old....and most of the time I just toss them bc I don't like cutting the eggs. I did add a tad of water to the side of the deli cup since the vermiculite was completely dry. I didn't add too much bc I know it can drown them...
