I got my gecko 3 days ago and I haven't sen him do anything but lay under his heat log. Is this normal?

Yeah he's adjusting to his environment. A big change like moving homes is very stressful on them. Plus they sleep during the day, you should see if he explores at night at all.

Give him time to settle in before handling or bugging him, make sure temperatures are right, give him his minimum three hiding places (or more), keep it dark at night, and he'll start becoming more active and inquisitive soon. Congrats on the new addition. :)

Don't worry, though I know it's a normal 'new parent' thing. :p By the way, what part of PA are you from? It's unusual to see other PA members here.

I'm up in northcentral. There's pretty much no reptile industry here. We have one reptile place, but the woman is an imbecile and shouldn't be allowed with 100 yards of a goldfish. I'm always hopeful to find someone in my area who's into reptiles, but no luck so far.

Luckily I just found a local breeder that is actually going to be opening a reptile store. He will also have feeders but he deals with lots of Leo's, Snakes (tons), Cresty's, and even gators (little crazy in my opinion) Its definitely gotten more main stream around here. I can't wait until he's up and running so I can have more easily available feeder choices lol.

If anyone gets a chance they should attend the Hamburg show at least once. It is a huge show and you can spend the whole day just looking at cool reptiles. Beware though, only put an amount of money in your wallet that you can afford and leave all credit/debit cards at home.

How true. I would've spent all my money there if I didn't need a good bit to make the 4 hour drive home.

My poor little gecko is still hanging out under his heat log. I'm gonna have to stay up late and see what he does once his light is off.
