I have had my crestie for a few days now and the only time he will eat is if i put baby food on a q-tip, then he licks it off. I have read on here before posting and followed others directions like only putting a little. I have been giving peach or pear baby food, and also have banana and mango. i was going to put a little dusted cricket in there and see if he liked that but I want him to eat on his own and im getting kinda worried because there hasnt been one little poop yet.....

If its only been a few days you have nothing to worry about yet. I would suggest not using any baby food tho and grabbing some CGD, crested gecko diet. Baby food holds a lot of sugar and un necessary stuff that our geckos
don't need. If your little one is eating if off a qtip it should be fine he/she will find the dish around the cage

Baby food isn't meant for geckos. You need to get something called Crested Gecko Diet (CGD). Do a google search, you can find sites selling it.

I got the Repashy one- NOT the sandfire one- my geckos like it better and it smells alright even to me... it also seems to have less sugar than the other ( not basing this on the actual numbers- but it seems to NOT mold in 2 days like the sandfire brand does for me)

I did feed babyfood in the beginning on my finger when I was handling him initially... I dont handle him often but want him to know that its ok if i do.

I got my crestie when he was about a month old and I have never seen him eat CGD. I know he's eating it because he's growing and sometimes I see CGD tracks on the sides of the enclosure. I would advise you keep feeding it crickets and CGD and not worry about what he's eating as long as he continues to grow and look healthy.

It's not uncommon for them to go with out food for 2-3 weeks in their new home. Hand feeding just stresses them out more and can make them take longer to eat on their own.
just mix the cgd (without baby food) and put it in there and when it's ready it will eat.
