Eatting habits during the warmer months?

Seeing as this will be my first summer with leos, I was wondering if anyone else noticed their eatting habits change when it starts to get warmer out? Lately all but 2 of our 6 have been eatting on a regular basis (every other day), while other just up and started refusing food and have had no history of doing so prior to the weather change. Any insight would help.

Many of mine eat more in the warmer weather, but if the females are ovulating, or if you have males that smell females, they may not eat for awhile. I offer food to my geckos every other day in the summer, every 3rd day in the winter. I have some that will eat at every other feeding and some that are eying the crickets from the moment I get them out. Most of my best eaters are also laying eggs. I find that in late Aug., early Sept. the appetites go way up and by Oct. 1, they are eating much less.

If your leos are kept at a constant temp over 90 degrees, their eating habits should never fluctuate...

The floor temps are constant, though the air temps do change with the season as does the amount of light which I feel does have an effect.

Both of those variables are not an issue if you keep your geckos in a rack system or in a proper cage...:main_thumbsup:
