well I have a clutch that was laid on the 8th of march and have been cooking in the 82 range
one of the eggs looks to be a gonner but one looks as though its about to hatch, but its been looking that way for a week or more, the egg is very white and when candled you cant see anything, plus the egg is bending to the left
so is he about to hatch, dead, or just cant get out?
I will try for pics later today

It could still take a few more days even at 82. Just keep them till they hatch or stink. If the "goner" isn't moldy it could surprise you as well, as mine did yesterday.

In general, if the baby can't get out on its own, maybe it wasn't destined to survive. You can decide to pip the egg yourself but often, according to others who have done it, it turns out to be a mistake either because of deformities, greater prematurity than expected or weakness.
