egg shell soft....

hi to all senior,

i'm quite worry about my 2nd clutch eggs,because today my gecko just laid another 2 eggs but this time the eggs shell have dent and very soft.

is this mean my eggs infertile?

If they don't firm up within a couple of hours of being laid they are most likely infertile. My advise: incubate anyways, infertile eggs will smell/get moldy within a few days. You can also candle them, if you see red dots/veins then they are fertile, if not they are most likely duds.

not necessarily. i would still go ahead and incubate them. sometimes you never know, those soft eggs hatch out perfect babies, sometimes the egg dies but either way incubate it til you know for sure.

even if they do not candle correctly i still incubate. they surprise you sometimes LOL

already been 1 day the eggs been laid but it still soft :eek::eek:

yeah,i still incubate them....crossing finger for this 2 pity eggs..

even if they do not candle correctly i still incubate. they surprise you sometimes LOL
maybe i will candle it another few days cause kinda soft and fragile looks like...

anyway,thanks guys for your advice :D:D:D

could it because off lack of nutrition? this season my whole breeder laid soft egg, n it start to mold the next day
