Its a Nikon D3 with the 60/2.8 macro. The lens is very sharp and the sensor of the D3 (same like D700) allows you to raise the ISO very high without showing nasty noise. So I can do the pictures with the available light on quite fast speed, that helps a lot for sharpness too.

Whoa! HOLY CAMERAS BATMAN!!! I just looked that up... Thats like a $5,000 - $8,000 camera, depending what model you get!

...I was asking cuz i might have been interested in gettin it for myself, because i need a nicer camera that will get me shots like that, but upon further inspection, i guess santa won't be getting me that camera this year! lol...

@chris: I need the camera for my job, wouldn´t spend so much money for the hobby either

@geckogoon: here we go: (size of each terrarium is 64 x 24 x 16 inch, roughly convertet)

As mentioned before, I use a clay mixture as substrate, it becomes hard has concrete.
