I just purchased a raptor and aptor het raptor to pair with my tremper patternless. And I told myself 3 geckos ago that I could ABSOLUTLEY not buy any more. So much for that. :main_laugh: I also bought a snowbell that I do not need but couldn't resist.

These beauties are from Kasha at MTGecko, Thanks! I will of course take a multitude of new pictures when they arrive but here's what I have,

Why do you say she's not a raptor? She looks like a lot that I've seen.

the leo in the first photo does not look like an albino but perhaps its a dark albino with high contrast orange?

I agree on that, it looks like an Eclipse, but it could be a dark albino. But they are all very nice, where did you buy that Snowbell, I am looking for one too.

The pictures are a little dark, maybe that's the problem. I emailed the breeder to see if she has any pictures of her eyes.

And I found them all here from Kasha at MTGecko she still has the ad up but I'm sure if she has any more snow bells, I think a bell and some mack het bell.

Kasha at MTGeckos says the first picture is 100% raptor I'm taking her word for it. I've seen plenty of raptors that look just like her. She Incubates at low temps so thats why they look a bit dark. I am so excited to get these girls!

They`re all beautiful - but if the `raptor` shows any amount of black pigment, or hasn`t got red eyes to some degree, then she`s not a Raptor, she`s an Eclipse - black eyed/partial black eyed (Albino changes the Eclipse to red). That`s not even taking into account that she`s patterned (Raptor is an acronym for Ruby eyed, Albino, Patternless, Tremper, ORange - if she isn`t patternless reverse stripe, eclipse and Tremper Albino, then it`s impossible for her to be a Raptor - regardless what she was sold as. If she meets the criteria for the raptor acronym, then she is - simples ;) She`s beautiful whether she turns out to be an Eclipse or a Raptor...so please don`t take that as I`m trying to be negative - definitely not.

The second beauty is a Reverse Stripe - again definitely not an Aptor, as Aptor is another acronym for Albino Patternless reverse stripe Tremper Orange ie Raptor minus the eclipse gene. Plus she too looks to have black pigment in her tail markings - though if they dark brown, and she has red pupils, then she`s a Reverse Stripe Tremper Albino. Again, that`s a positive comment as she is utterly beautiful.

Third, agreed a definite, classy looking Mack Snow Bell Albino. All great, all beautifu leos which is the only thing that matters!!! ;)

raptor is a horrible acronym. I believe that whether there can be patterened raptors and aptors is up for debate. And the first girl does indeed have two solid red eyes. So I'm choosing to call her a raptor regardless of the pattern. Same goes for tha aptor, I think it is more attractive when they have a pattern. I think the P in raptor should stand for 'pretty'. And thank you very much I agree that they are beautiful!
