I have recently taken a big interest in the incredible Eublepharid species Eublepharis fuscus. Does anyone have any detailed information on this particular species. My gosh is it incredible, I cannot get over the amazing wildtype patterning. Some specific things I would love to get to know are:

- What is the common name for them (not binomial name). Do they have one at all?

- Why are they not seen in the reptile community and/or seem so rare?

- Does their rarity and scarcity have to due with difficulties importing them?

- Are there any people working with them? Or is wild-caught the only option for now?

EDIT - Whoops, realized that fuscus isn't a subspecies, but a separate species

I've been searching for some for years. There's only a few females in captivity out of India and none in the states. I don't think we'll be seeing these anytime soon.

Agreed, I'm sure I've mentioned this already, but I find their patterning absolutely amazing. Easily one of my favorite reptile species. But I'm so dissatisfied with the lack of information on them, I truly wish there was more. :sad3: Hoepfully someday we'll see some... I look forward to that time.

I know who has the hardwickii's also but its now a secret haha. I haven't heard of anyone with E. Fuscus at all... If I am correct there were only two people that imported the hardwickii's legally. I am sure someone out there has E. fuscus also.

Is it who I think it is? Because I'm almost positive I know. Weird, I thought it was made public a while ago... Or maybe I'm thinking of a different person.

If you're thinking of Matt and Sasobek Reptiles then you are correct! It was public for a few months now because he is taking names for the waiting list. Not sure if he filled it or not but I know he had quite a few people interested.

I knew it! I've seen his waiting list, as well as various pictures on his Facebook page. Hardwickii are quite pretty as well, but I still find myself in favor of the Fuscus.
