Hah, I got an early birthday present, exactly one week early. Look what was in my incubator this evening:

First, two striped Bells het Radar:

and then the Radar clutch mates:

and here, Brindisi is running away:

Lysiastra, my second neon-orange baby!!! (she would be willing to exchange home with a funky jungle boy at Wheaton on August 6th ;))

And here the fun thing: the dad is, of course, Ruben from JMG who proved out het Radar by coincidence. The first dame is Urmel, a little Stripe Bell Albino I got at the Wheaton show 2008 from Jeremy Letkey. I had no idea she could make that beautiful babies. In 2008, she only threw me two: an ordinary Tang Bell, Lilian, whom I sold at a show, and a wavy-tailed Mack Snow Bell with an incomplete Stripe, Lydia. I tried to sell Lydia at shows, and she always traveled with me, faithfully. Nobody ever wanted her. She is just so insignificant, she's not even on my breeder page, and I just have a hatchling pic from her. Although she was born with a perfect tail, it now looks like it has used a curly iron (shedding problems?). BUT she makes the most colorful babies in the world :main_yes:

Here just for fun an update of pics taken today from Lydia's oldest child, Celia, my other neon girl:

So, and now I need to go back to my paper (STILL procrastinating... :main_laugh:)

They all look great, but there's something about that last one that's simply outstanding! That has to be one of the most intensly colored juvenile leopards I've seen in a long time. Is it a RADAR? Hopefully it will retain some, if not all of that neon orange coloration...

Very Nice! Have you hatched anything from Ryla yet?

No, Ryla hasn't had any babies yet; she's still too small (well, not physically; she's rather BIG :p). Her time will be September for the second breeding season. But Pasadena, the Red Stripe Bell, did (one is a Stripe Bell, and one is a Radar, so I'm not sure if it's hers or of one of the other 8 harem wives...). And the next clutches won't tell, either, because they all of a sudden laid on the same day, so I had to label all eggs, "Ruben"!!! :main_rolleyes: This is the bad thing about breeding groups....

Here's the whole breeding group at dinner time tonight:

Ruben's wives are: two Red Stripes (Mayhem and Maybrit), one Red Stripe Bell (Pasadena), two Stripe Bells (Ryla, running in the foreground, and Urmel), two Mack Snow Bells (Valencia and Lydia), one Tang Bell (Andromeda from Jason Haygood), and one Bell Enigma (Lady Di). It just looks crammed; it's a very long tank, and this is just the "feeding porch"...
