So I was just randomly going thru a google image search on Leopard geckos (somehow looking at blue tongued skink brought me to leopard gecko, I don't know how but...) and came across this quite interesting looking fella?

So has anyone ever heard of this species before? Here is the write up: From MSNBC:
“A Cat Ba leopard gecko has a technicolor pattern along its body and was found on Cat Ba Island in northern Vietnam. Named Goniurosaurus catbaensis, it has large, orange-brown catlike eyes with long and thin legs, digits and claws.”

Now I don't know about y'all but isn't this rather strange looking? At first I thought it was an emaciated leo, but the legs looked all funky...

Idk thoughts/experiences/input? :main_thumbsup::main_thumbsdown:

Do you have personal experience with them Robin? are they as creepy looking in real life or does that picture just make 'em look bad?

Thank you for the link Keith.

i had a pair of g. araneus years ago. i currently do not keep them but i should be getting some g. hainanensis and g. luii soon.
kelli hammack from HISS has a quite impressive collection of cave geckos and i have had the pleasure of seeing them their set ups and the different subspecies.

p.s. no they can not cohabitate with leopard geckos. they are from two entirely different parts of the world and have different housing requirements

the only ones i have seen available were some cb babies that kelli had for sale at the san antonio show but other than that the others i have seen were some imports , here and there.
