I have no idea why this blood eclipse cross is so dark, but I think it looks really cool.

Maybe it was left in the oven a little longer then usual. If it starts to lighten up, stick it back in there lol. Nice though.

Lovely Kristi, Ive hatched a few eclipses that were that dark but after a few sheds they lightened up, but mine were not from a blood, would be cool if it stayed like that, congrats!

Thanks everyone! I expect it to lighten up, but we'll see. That picture is right after it's first shed. I'll update pics when there are some changes.

It actually will probably lighten up. The blood eclipse in my thread was the exact same way when it hatched out and the red of it is what it looks like now.
