Does any1 here feed out of the tank?

When i 1st got Gizzy i fed her crickets, only problem was they sometimes hid under the kitchen roll. I started to feed her meal worms and got her a meal worm dish but she doesn't seem to eat alot, i was wandering if it would be ok to take her out of the cage each day and put her in another container to feed her some crickets.

i have about 40 geckos, not a huge number compared so many on this site...it would take way too much time to try to give that much individual attention during feeding.
the hidden crickets are great late night snacks!
:p

I feed my 2 favourite leo's outside their viv because they are on show in elaberate vivs that contain clay which i wouldnt want them to eat accidently. But my other Leo's and the hatchlings all eat in because they are on paper towels in a rack.

mine gets feed outside her tank, well kinda. I put her in a seperate container that I sit in the tank when she eats. This way I dont have to chase the crickets around that she doesnt eat. Mines used to eat and actually wont eat in her tank.

The ones downstairs I will feed all at once.

BUT...if I notice one of them not getting enough because the others hog it all, then I will take that one up separately and feed her in my sink.

The ones upstairs are in their own cages, so I feed them in their cages.

I only have two leos, but Tiamat won't eat out of her tank so I just give her her meals in her home. Mandarin will eat outside of the tank (I put her in a critter keeper) but she gets easily distracted and after a while will ignore her food. (Until I put her back in her tank and finish feeding her. lol)

Right now I only have two geckos, and I feed them in separate containers. Lately though my male has been getting distracted, so I've had to go back to feeding him in his tank with tongs. I just ordered some dishes that have partial covers so the mealworms can't crawl out, so I'm hoping I can just get them to eat out of these in their tanks. Whenever I get more geckos, it will be too time consuming to move and feed each one manually.

At work, I've found that the only way I can get the little leopard gecko to eat is if I move her into a feeding tub. I'm hoping this won't be the case once she gets bigger and stronger.

Some geckos will not eat in a new location. You can try it and see if it works for you.

Same here. Tried it...
Geckos said it's not my place.
Feed them in their home....add a couple pieces of carrot in the
tank for the crickets to stay healthy.
Take care. HJ
