well, i think my mom might finally let me have a leo, now that she knows it's not just a phase for me. how does this set up sound-
16 quart tub(my grandpa can drill holes around the top and in the lid)
paper towels on the bottom
humid hide out of a 6 in dia ziplock bowl w/lid(is paper towels ok for the bottom?)
bowl for mealies
half a tissue box for another hide
under tank heater
two thermometers, one for the UTH side, one for the reg side

now for the questions-
do i need a water dish?
what kind of mealie duster do i need?

i think that's it for now.
thanks for the help:D

Is the tub plastic? Because most UTHs can only go on glass. There are several brands out there but the most common one that I see around is ZooMed. I use ZooMed UTHs myself and have never had a problem.

Yes, you need a water bowl. Fresh water should be provided at all times for your Leo.

Paper towels really aren't the best thing for your moist hide, they work if you have to use it, but moist sphagnum moss is much better for the humid hide. Your gecko will shed much easier.

Yes, you should never put UTH's over plasic...try to find another place to put the tank. The water and food dishes are fine as long as they'll hold a decent amount of H20 and keep the mealies from escaping....the only other thing you need is a 3rd dish for calcium. They need calcium to be available 24/7.
