Fighting

I moved Phoenix into Roxie's house and everything looked to be going well until Phoenix wanted to check out Roxie's moist hide while Roxie was inside. Roxie looked as if she was trying to get out and then attacked Phoenix. I immediately removed Phoenix and checked her for boo boos. They were both unscathed but does anyone have any tips as to how to get them to get along. I thought of cutting the opening to the hides a bit bigger. I think that if they were both able to get in and out easily there wouldn't have been a fight. Any thoughts or tips?

Some geckos just don't and won't get along. I would just leave them separated. If you really want to keep trying then at least give them their own hides, bowls, etc.

They did. They each had there own hides and bowls. The one just wanted to check out the other one and that was when the fight started. It wasn't horrible but it scared me. I just thought it would be nice for them to be together. And it would free up some space.

I havent had any experience yet with introducing older geckos to each other (put babies together and theyre fine) but i read if you alter their home it can help as the one that was in previously hasnt established itself yet and have a favourite place that it can be protective of.

When Peppa is finished with her quarentine period and big enough to be with Daisy ill be doing a total cleaning and re-arranging of the furniture in Daisy's viv to try and give them more of an even standing to get used to each other rather than plonking her in Daisy's viv and Daisy being all "that is MY hide!"

yeah well when I first put my male (BB) into my females (SHTCT) tank his tail was going crazy and they where bitting and running around. I thought it was "nature" but that has only happened once again and they have been together for 2 months. I know my situation is a male and female but it could happen in your case too.
