Finally did it...

I got a little fed-up & impatient this past weekend and I hope it pays off....I paired Vaako with Sasha:

As you can see, there is an extremely noticeable size difference, 33.7g & 63.9g :stunned:
They are both the same age and at this point have I no idea when he'll decide to grow-up. I know some would disagree with putting these two together because of the size difference, but so far no violence or aggression has occurred between these two....no visable bite marks, no new scars & both still have their beautiful tails. If this pairing actually results in fertile eggs, then he'll be paired with Vic & maybe Diablo come spring (both are around 43-50g right now).

I'll agree at 33gs he's a little small but it's the male so not that big of a deal. Hopefully she doesn't throw her weight around. Should produce some nice babies. My gargs are all looking good weightwise to start pairings for next season next month sometime.

They are both 2.3yrs old so he's an extremely slow grower. He survived 6 days without any injuries and maintained his weight, so I'm very pleased sofar. I went ahead & removed him tonight since she is about to shed. Fingers crossed that I'll get some fertile eggs from these two....maybe now he'll put some weight on.

I'm so looking forward to seeing how your projects go this coming year, especially the yellows.
