Here's a cool little Firefox Tangerine with intense orange. The thing I really like about these is that their bright orange coloring stays right into adulthood. The lav does reduce but some small spots or areas remain into maturity. They usually have 2-3 different colors of orange as well. This little guy's colors are just starting to come in so he should be really nice in a month or so.

My personal favorite line of Tangerine, exceptional gecko!

What differentiates a Firefox from, say, a regular Tangerine? Is it the lavender spots? I cannot find much information on this beautiful morph and would love to know more about it.

Well, the original Firefox is Ron Tremper's creation. You can see more info on his site. I'm not sure how he created this refined Tang...trade secret I'd say. I'm also sure he's still refining it.

The Firefox Tangerine has some lav spots, 2-3 different shades of orange, and reduced spotting on the tail. As I said, we've noticed our FTs get very bright golden orange as they mature, whereas many other Tangs in our experience tend to diminish in color intensity as they reach adulthood.
I'm always surprised to see these as full grown adults because of the color intensity. There are not many of these around, and I don't think Ron has released any Firefoxes from his original line since a few he let go last year. We were lucky to put together a group and we also have some nice young ones we'll breed next season.

Very nice gecko! The Lavender areas will actually end up a "greenish" color. I know this because the look (and description) reminds me very much of my Electric line! In fact, if I didn't know any better I would think that is what those are! Anyway, very nice and I would love to see more pics of juveniles like this one and adults even moreso. Good luck with the project!
