First babies ever

I have to say I am really excited about these two being born. Today my first eggs ever hatched...I really wasn't expecting them for a while since the eggs were laid 1-22-07. Can you tell what "morph" they are?

Thanks

David

PS The dad is pictured in my Avatar and the mom is a beautiful Tang Tornado.

Justin,
Even when I incubate for female (79-83) about 80% of my eggs hatch at 45 days +/- 3 days. I have never had an egg take longer than 53 days (i think) and have had them hatch as early as 38 days at 85 degrees.

David,
Congrats on your first babies!

looks like you might be having some temp issues you are not aware of. what are you using to incubate the eggs in and what are you using to measure the temperature and do you have the incubator on a thermostat?

although those babies looks normalish i would imagine they will turn into beautiful tangs (just from looking at the mom and pops) het albino and whatever other genes the dad might hold

congrats on your first hatchlings

Thanks everyone, I am really excited about the hatchlings. I will try to keep week-to-week photos, maybe someone will find them useful. I was looking for some.

Robin: I am using a combination of 1/2 vermiculite(sp) and 1/2 peat so that could raise the temps in the "egg box". I am using a Lyon Reptile Incubator which has a digital thermostat on it and a temp gauge which registered 81.

Update on the hatchlings 3-21-07

Thought you would like to see what the hatchlings look like 2 weeks after they are born. Color is much brighter and they eat like pigs. They love the little crickets and haven't taken to mealworms yet.
