Congratulations! They are SO tiny when they hatch. I usually just start offering CGD on the second or third day and small crickets when they're a few months old.

that is still a really short incubation time, normally they hatch in about 75-100 days, so 50 days is still a short time, just keep a good eye on him.
These guys do start at after their first shed, which can take a few days, so normally on the 2nd day I start to offer them food. Just keep them well humid for the first few days to insure they are not dehydrating and having an easy time with their first shed. They eat very little so dont fret to much of you dont see any lick marks or any significant amount of food eaten, as long as you see feces, they are eating.

Mine typically hatch in about 2 months. 75-100 days is a really long time.

Definitely keep hatchlings well hydrated. They dehydrate easily.

temps have everything to do with it, I have had eggs hatch at 60 days before, i remember my first two hatched at 65 days, but on average for myself and many other breeders I know, it is normal for them to hatch from about 70 days an on. The higher the temps the faster incubation time, the faster the incubation time the higher the chances of the baby hatching before fully developed. A longer incubation period also gives the baby inside more time to absorb all of the nutriants the egg has to offer, which also helps to hatch out a hardier baby. So by cooling them down a bit, it is much safer. I incubate at about 73/74 degrees and find most of mine.

Here is a good link to give you an idea on the average times for many crested breeders, you will find most of the geckos on there hatched at around 73 or more days.

Ours hatch around around 2 months also so it would make sense that yours hatched around 50 days. It's even warmer in Laredo than it is in Houston. The new minifridge incubators like the MR-148 may be a good option for Crested eggs in warmer states. We only have a few months out of the year where room temp is below 73/74 even with the AC on so you would basically have to refrigerate them to keep them at those temps.

I want a mini fridge incubator but really no need for it here since even when we do get hot, we keep the house cool. And since I dont bree anything that needs to be warmed up, no need for me to buy a ancy incubator. But mini fridge incubators are actually pretty easy and cheap to build yourself. And something as simple as a computer fan built into an insulated box works well too as it will blow in air to circulate inside whch will often keep it cooler. But things like wine coolers work also becaise you can adjust the internal temp on them. But I knew a few people in areas of the US that get really hot, the have been using these to incubate their rhac species.

Usually they hatch within 2 days of each other. If not, it could be that the first one did hatch prematurely or that the other egg was not viable and is not going to hatch. You just have to wait patiently and hopefully a little baby pops out soon.

I just had the clutchmate hatch to one of mine, over a week after the first one, but usually it's within a few days.

Oh, its been three days so I guess Ill have to wait and see, the crested the did hatch dosnt look premature though. He looks like any other little hatchling. Its his third day and hes in shed, I hae to wait for him to finish completly shedding to feed right? I have CGD available to him anyways.
