Hey guys,
I'm curious as to how you tell for sure that an egg is fertile. I found an egg in my gecko's humid hide two days ago and put it in my hovabator at 78-80 F. It is plump and white and around 1 inch long. I think I might have seen the "bullseye" when I tried to candle it earlier tonight. However, some posts that I read talked about seeing "veins" on the egg? Should there be veins visible without candling the eggs? My egg looks just white from the outside. It also has a slight bulge outward on the side facing the vermiculite (I have the correct ratio of water to vermiculite).
What do you guys think? Is it fertile? What could be causing the outward "bulge"? Should I dry out the media a bit more?
Thanks in advance!
