ok, so sometime last night the little lady buried the eggs in moist peat moss. i saw her this morning and she was super skinny. i realized she must have laid the eggs and when i moved one of the hides there was a huge mound of peat moss, in which the eggs buried at the bottom.

anyways, i currently have the eggs incubating at ~82 degrees with vermiculite.

the questions:

what ratio of water to vermiculite do you succesful breeders use?

what does it mean for the egg to sweat?

any other tips are appreciated! :main_thumbsup:

AFT eggs take alittle longer til you can see the veins, i would probably say give them 7-10 days til candling. CONGRATS!!

hey mo, all you need is a small flash light. shut your lights off and shine the light through the egg. if its fertile, you ll see the blood vessles in the egg, giving it a red color. and as Snared said it may take a few days befor you notice the blood vessles . I usualy can see if they are fertile or not in a few days
