First eggs doing well!

My first two eggs were stuck with paper towel and sand and I lost those. :(
This second clutch seems to be doing perfectly (knocking on wood!). They were laid June 6th and are a nice white and plump. I candled them (without handling them... just used a flashlight over the top of the eggs) and they look to be pink inside.
I know temp fluctuation is important, and the Little Giant incubator has been very accurate right around 82'. When I do an air exchange every 5 days or so, the temp in the incubator drops to around 75'. Of course, it goes right back up within minutes, but I'm wondering if that's okay? It's not like the temp drops for a long period.
Am I worrying too much?

I think you're doing an air exchange too often. I would say that you could probably get away with doing it once every 10 days or so. Any more than that would dry the substrate out too much, IMO. With the hatchling I just hatched, I probably opened the container 3 times over a period of 41 days. And when I opened it, it was literally for about 2 seconds, and then the container immediately went back into the incubator.

That being said, how long are you leaving the container out of the incubator while you're doing the air exchange for? It should be done as quick as possible, with as little temp fluxes as possible.

I only open the container for about 30 seconds. Quick enough to candle them and put them right back (without handling the eggs). I didn't know I could get away with less. I imagine them suffocating. :D I'll try to be more hands off.
GOOD NEWS!!! I have two more eggs! One I'm not quite sure is viable, but the other one is HUGE... close to double the size of my first two (different female). Absolutely perfect, white, plump egg that hardened nicely.
WAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
