these are the first mitratus babies I've ever hatched. Cute little boogers, but man are they grumpy little things. :main_laugh:

In the first pic, the one completely visible hatched this morning. The one buried hatched on 7/3/2011. 2nd photo is both more clearly visible. The older sibling is the aberrantly patterned one on the left.

Beautiful babies! That substrate looks good. I had a hard time keeping my hatchlings humid enough on paper towels and lost a few. I found them hard to raise.

Wow tokay keeper, your a jack of all trades!!

These guys look awesome!

Again, sorry to hear about daddy =[

Nah, if I were that this season I'd have my TX banded geckos, mexican hognose, crested geckos, and green tree pythons breeding. We're just a little well rounded this season.

The substrate is a mix of coco fiber and fine grain paving sand. The combo is freak'n awesome for tunneling. I'm hoping to be successful with these guys. I just fed them for the first time tonight before I headed out for some local road cruising. My success with the mitratus will dictate whether I expand to elegans at all. I'd love to, so we'll see.
