Ok so tonight was "feed everybody" night.. I feed my males last and tonight was no different. Well, needless to say, one of my enigma males didnt want me to pick him up and move him. Im not sure if he smelled the other males or females on me, but he whipped around and let me know he didnt want to be bothered. LOL.. I have had nibbles and little bites before but tonight was the first night for blood... Im not sure who was more surprised, me or him... LOL.. I guess next time I will just wait for his grumpy butt to move out of the way... LOL

They very first gecko to bite me and draw blood was a pure fascio male. I hadn't named him at that point, but he is now called "Evil Bastard"
Thankfully I haven't had him bite me since.

Welcome to the club! I'm sure he didn't bite you because he smelled another male; otherwise he wouldn't so easily let you go, and you may be able to try out the gecko death roll, or death head shake, lol.

my mother once held one of my males and he dosnt seem to like her atall so he turned round and bit her just like that. it was bleeding soo much :S once we had cleaned all the blood off you could see that the bite was in the shape of a love heart! so i told her he must like her as it was a love bite XD lolz

I think it was a combination of his starting to shed and maybe the start of breeding season. Hes not as grumpy today, but my finger sure is sore though...LOL

Even having been bitten I'd not want to give them up. Leos are still one of the most docile animals. Most times a bite feels more like you got attacked by the hook side of velcro, and doesn't really affect you at all.

 That's exactly what I thought, "it's like his mouth's made of Velcro"! Mine got the corner of my finger in his little jaws the other day when he was aiming for a mealie - he did the little head-shake and all that, such a cute little vicious beast. :D Didn't even leave a mark on the skin though, after all that fuss and bother. Guess they have to be properly ticked-off and hit a soft spot!

That *sorta* happened to me. My leo had stuck shed on her head, so I tried to help her. I first she started to nibble at me, but then I think she understood what I was doing.
