First shed fast breathing

My baby leopard gecko is having its first shed at home and I'm noticing he's breathing fast is that normal??? I'm worried!please help I'm new to this!

It's probably fine. If he's walking around and eating as usual, don't worry.

When we got him he was already missing a few toes! He seems to be fine and eating and acting normal.

Make sure you're maintaining proper humidity and humid hides to ensure he doesn't lose any more toes!

Poor thing probably wouldn’t have made it another week at that store!! He was skinny and over run by bigger leopard geckos! He’s getting nice and plump on his tail now.

Yw the problem is I can’t keep him out of his humid hide lol

Not really a problem, it sounds as if he's happy there. I find that leopard geckos often choose a favorite spot for awhile and then they can change for another favorite spot.
