hi um my crestie really doesnt eat the cgd dont think she likes it. so i went to the pet store and i saw this other diet for geckos called bites. smells good and it says it has all the nutrition for geckos and stuff (it says it is specifically made for geckos). i also feed her small crickets as well. let me know if this diet is ok for the gecko or if anyone uses it or has used it. what is your experience with it. thank you very much

When I first got my guy I couldn't tell he was eating at all. So I started cutting the end off a banana & mixing it with cgd to offer to him while I watch. He'd devour it no problem. CGD is supposed to be The Food for cresties.

I don't know about the bites.

I would stick with CGD and crickets or similar insects. sometimes its hard to tell whether the geckos are eating the CGD but adding a tiny bit of banana wouldn't be a bad idea maybe that would attract the gecko to the food especially a very ripe banana. CGD is banana flavored already so it will just intensify the flavor but only add a very little bit so you don't throw off the vitamin/minerals in the CGD. Also try putting some CGD on your finger and putting your finger by the geckos mouth to get it to lick your finger I haven't had a crestie refuse to eat CGD that way, so that way it gets the taste of it and do that for a week or so and it will like it most likely but CGD is very nutrient rich so they don't eat much of it sometimes. If its pooping its eating.
