I was talking to a reptile enthusiast friend of mine this weekend, and he posed an interesting thought.

He said with the huge increase of morphs in leopard geckos and ball pythons, he believes in about 10-20 years, a plain normal without any hets will be so hard to find, they'll be priced higher than any of the current morphs out there today.

What do you guys think?

I mean, they're already hard to find, but do you think that the price of a normal will got from today's $15 to tomorrow's $500+?

I doubt it. The trend towards pure subspecies is rising, and there are plenty of people maintaining pure lines of those. I really can't see normals rising that high in price with the fecundity of leopard geckos.
