I have a female leopard gecko and I have had her for just over a year. her appetite has slowed down as of late due to the time of year and small temperature drop. She has not eaten for just about 2 weeks, I have tried feeding her but she does not want any. But just now I look in her tank and I find this: (WARNING: MIGHT BE A BIT DISTURBING just in case) http://imgur.com/KHyUL I have no idea what that is and I heard that female geckos do ovulate but I am freaking out. She seems fine just hanging about but what is that?

agreed its shed. what kind of heat you use? UTH?
if its been that long since she ate it then it probs means shes not digesting properly.
better out then in if thats the case.
could be a heat issue?

I use a heat lamp that shines directly onto a rock. the rock gets really warm though, and the temperature on the heated side of the tank is at 28-30 degrees Celsius.

For leos a under tank heater is a neccessity, it will get the tanks heat where it needs to be and get it closer to their belly. a temp gradient of 90s on the hot side and higher 70s on the cool side is also very important.

Think we found your geckos problem then :) the shed sat in her stomach rotting for so long it made her sick.
swap to a UTH and monitor her. if the vomiting carries on then you must see a vet.

You don't NEED a UTH. I use a 60w Ceramic Heat Emitter, along with slate tiles, and my ground temps stay around 92 degrees. Works perfectly in my 20 gallon.

Ceramic heat emitting bulbs are for heating an entire space to a steady constant temp. by using one of these there is no way your gecko can thermoregulate properly.
