I was leaving to go pick Melanie up from school and saw a turtle in the yard. I was gonna catch it and turn it loose near the retention pond, but I saw it was laying eggs so, I left it alone and took this picture.
As far as I can tell, it is a Florida mud turtle. I built a little fence around the eggs to keep dogs out. When they hatch, I'm gonna try my best to make sure they all make it to the water.
Sorry for the low resolution picture, my camera was at Melanie's and I didn't want to stress the turtle out by getting closer.
