So tonight was the first shoot for these two. My wife, who is primarily a natural light photographer shot these under lights with no flash. I'm not guaranteeing that they are exactly representative of the leos, but it's the best I've got right now. We will probably do another shoot with a flash next week. It was the first time she's done reptiles, and they didn't exactly hold still, so it was a learning experience. To be completely upfront, the photos have been edited in an attempt to capture accurate colors. The untouched photos just didn't look like them, and all we did was lighten it up a bit so the pics weren't dark. The RAPTOR shed yesterday, the BEE last week.
Anyway, here they are:

Thanks, guys and gals. I'm gonna do another shoot soon and have my wife use a different lens, and maybe a flash. It was hard for me to let her edit the pics, she's not a reptile gal and doesn't get how abhorrent that can be. I feel like it's kind of cheap, but maybe that's bull since unedited pics seldom are accurate.

I think she hit the RAPTOR just right. He looks just like the pics.

The BEE is kindof greenish-white, and the spots in the pics are a little brighter than real life. I especially want good pics of her, since she changes EVERY shed.

I might make a lightbox later, and maybe that'll help.

How do you guys take pics of your stuff and how much do you worry about accurate color?
