Gecko Fingers

Do leopard geckos have bones in their fingers? cuz i always see my geckos fingers in a weird position like there's nothing in there. sometimes when he stops in the middle of walking, his hand rests on his knuckles and his fingers are bent really far. i can move his fingers sideways too. so thats y im wondering if they have bones there.

Yep, there are bones there. Their joints are just extra-bendy.

Yep there are joints, otherwise they'd be pointy stubs 'stead of toes. And said joints are rather flexible, because as best I can tell geckos' survival is in some way linked to their being able to lie around spread out like day-old roadkill instead of just curling up in a ball and going to sleep like most sensible animals. :tongue3:

well it wouldnt be just pointy stubs if they didnt have bones. i thought it was just a bunch of skin with a nail at the end. and i see my gecko lie around like that lol
