gecko ovulating this early???

is it early for a leopard gecko to start ovulating now?? I do plan to breed her but the male wont be here till Friday and wont be ready to breed until late January... does this mean she wont ovulate and breed later in the season???

yes female can ovulate this early. i have three females already ovulating. generally geckos in warmer areas of the world will ovulate earlier than cooler areas of the world.

not only will your male get there friday and will not be ready til january, he needs to be quarantined as well. generally once they finish ovulating they will not ovulate until the next season.

It's likely that she'll still be ovulating in late January. Most of mine ovulate for 3-5 months.
