Gecko stuck in toilet paper tube?

So i decided to put a kitchen paper tube on my gecko's tank
He REALLY likes it..........I think
He went inside and has been there for atleast 2 hours!

Is this normal?

I tried to take him out but he held on tight!

Yes, it's normal. They often really like the hides they find. This reminds me of a funny story. I have a very large (110 gr) male gecko who is usually quite docile, but he had an adventure in the living room awhile ago and now he turns into a madman if he gets out on the floor --if I try to pick him up he'll bite and run. A few month ago he got out and I was trying to pick him up without getting hurt. He took off, but ran right into a toilet paper roll. He's so big that he couldn't fit through the roll and ended up running and pushing it in front of him. At least it made it easy to pick him up and put him back. It's kind of a shame becaues I used to bring him to shows and let the kids hold him because he's so calm, but I don't trust him anymore.

When Loki was little, she'd spend all day in her tube. Then she got too big.
