Aye, I know this, it's from Backwood Geckos. I'm so incredibly envious of this girl and heavily admire her for all she's accomplished so far. Sadly, I won't be able to live my dream for a couple of more years, at least I won't while I'm under my parent's roof and still relatively young.

Damnn. That's inspiring. I just wish my gecko would be as fond of me holdingnhim like hers were in the first pic. I try touching him everyday but he just runs into his hide and won't come out till I leave. He's my baby tho. And I love him. :)

Very nice story! I started in a similar way! I would be no where if it weren't for my parents cooperation and helping me along with my geckos and supporting me. Heck recently my room has been so full of cichlid tanks and gecko cages and racks my parents told me I could have the back room also!

Lucky. My mom keeps saying. "1 is enough" and I'm getting mad. ):

Same, I have two, and my mom is so incredibly strict on not letting me get more, for reasons I do not know. I mean, she doesn't like reptiles, but she likes both of my geckos, even enough to say that they're "cute." I simply cannot understand why she won't let me get more. My dad is a lot more supportive of my passion, and I sincerely believe that if it wasn't for my mom, he'd let me get another.
Haha my mom always says I'm going to have to wait until I'm out of the house before I get more leopards.... :( I honestly don't know what I'm going to do, waiting like 4 more years.
With that said I'm so very grateful for the two that I have, though. My mom is coming with me to a reptile expo in a couple of weeks...hmm...maybe she'll see then the full extent of my love for leopards.

Sorry for that long post....really sorry... just felt like I needed to spew.

My parents actually reccomend me to get another leopard gecko because I have an extra 10 gallon but I'd rather get a bigger tank. At first my mom said no to geckos but then after months of researching and looking at videos and pics of them my mom was like " They're kinda cute!" and now I'm into herps. I wanna snake but my dad says they can't exceed 1 foot( that isn't that long) and can't eat rodents( he thinks it is cruel to feed live and he doesn't want frozen mice or rats in the freezer). My cousin has 2 brown snakes that he caught. They eat earthworms. I'd rather get CB though.

Just wanted to mention that the author of this Gecko Time article about being a teenaged leopard gecko breeder is Bongo from the forums.

I still have a couple years in my parents house. They aren't to strict about the number I have, as I am adding some more at the next shows. They are very supportive.

Thank you for the kind words about the article I wrote. I am very lucky to have parents that support my hobby. My mom has become fond of my reptiles over the years. My dad does not like reptiles very much, but he is understanding. I'm sure that they wouldn't let my number of herps get out of hand, but they don't worry too much about how many I have. I know what I can handle, and my parents know that.
