Geckonia chazaliae

Finally was able to get a pair of Geckonia chazaliae from my friend Casper

When I came to him at the show in the morning I saw that pair and got it ;-)

I´m so happy with them and maybe I will see some chazaliae babies next year

Congratulations. They are a very cool species with loads of personality. I hatched out about a dozen this year from my group. How old is your new pair? They still look young, but it's hard to tell without a size reference. Good luck with them!

Hey Gary,
I think they are still very young. I need to measure them tomorrow. How long do they take to get mature?
I planed to raise them up until they are adult and than breed them and holdback most of the females I hatch and buy in another male to have new blood in the groupes

They become sexually mature quite quickly. I've heard of some who started males at 9 months, but I've waited at least a year to start mine. Your plan sounds good. That's what I'm doing right now also. I have an unrelated male that's about a year old, so I'm waiting until I can sex some of this year's offspring. I'll hold back a couple of females and put together another breeding group.

I´m not sure but most likely holdback all females get them an unrelated male and hold this pair, too. But I hope to make 2 groupes getting females from someone else for the male I own, too.

don't worry
i know have 6 unrealated breedinggrousp, wich include patternless and patterned animals.
this year i had 26 babies, so hopefully next season a few more.
