Hi Guys

Im a new gecko owner and need a little help

I own a Male almost adult carrot tale (unfortunately on his second tale, previous owner handled him wrong) and a blazing blizzard female gecko (albino red eyes)

the female is just 8=10 weeks old, shes not tiny but my male is a lot bigger than her. Is this ok to put them together?

i have a 4ft vivarium and they seem to be ok together (they have separate hides) however i have noticed a change in my male he tries to escape and seems to have a bigger smile.... he also licks her is this normal?

and the female (hoping she is a she) seems to get on top of a rock he is to big to climb and look at him. They don't fight and some times share the same hide.

i feed these guys mealworms my self, i have a 60w heat lamp.

my questions are

Is my gecko to young to be with my older one?
If my "female" is a he would they fight by now?

Any advice?

It is never a good idea to house two dis-similarly sized geckos in the same enclosure no matter how good they seem to get along.

what everyone else said. The younger one is trying to hide from the bigger one. They might seem ok but at any time one can become aggressive towards the other and fight (doesnt even have to be 2 males for them to fight) and the adult will want to mate whether or not the little one is ready if she is female. You need to seperate them. And I second the need for a UTH

I went a bought a UTH because I know that is what everyone says is best for LG's and heating their belly's. I am in the process of getting a rheostat and temp gun.

I just dont feel like there is enough heat from the UTH, I have a 20G tank and I use paper towels. I feel the paper towels everyday where the UTH is, and it just feels warm, nothing like 90 degrees that people call for that area to be. I've noticed since I put a Night Lamp on, my LG basks in the heat once I put it on almost every time if not everytime.

She is lively, and eats 15 Large dusted crickets everyday. Haven't had her but a week, and she has gained 2.4 grams. Seems like everything is fine.

Until I get the Temp gun and Rheostat, is the heat lamp a huge issue?

The light I use seems fine 60w blue reptile bulb. They come out and eat at the correct time. I have put some wood up to separate my vic into 2 halfs and set up another light. Were see how this goes for a wile. Cheers guys
