Well I picked this guy up at a show He is pretty spastic but pretty darn cool.
Not sure if ill be keeping just yet. but well see.

A few questions

reading care sheets one says feed baby food. i personally would rather try to feed CGD. would that be advisable?

Any one know actual sizes they get. i have read 89 differnt things

One crappy cell pic for now

They love cgd. Baby food is for babies.

Adult size 10 to 12 in.

Thats Ghyra marginata, not G. vorax fyi

I never weighed mine regulary as they dont appreciate handling and have delicate skin. I would guesstimate around 100 grams

From what I understand, there are only 2 G.vorax in captivity in the US, and they are a non-compatible pair...impossible to obtain in the US these days (legally, I think...correct me if I am wrong)

Awesome gecko, though... :)

mmmm....from what I understand, and the research I have done...I would be VERY skeptical.

They are from Fiji....and from what I understand, Fiji is VERY strict about import/export.

I'm not saying it's impossible for your buddy to have one. I'd be skeptical of legality if it is a true Vorax, though...that's all i'll say...

Eye color is usually green in marginata, vorax is amber usually. Scalation is the only fullproof way.

Frankly if your friend is legally importing true vorax ill eat my left shoe. I know several zoos that have been trying to do so for years, unsucessfully.
