I think that it's super funny to hear about entire citys closing down when they call for a dusting of snow. We have a few offices where i work in Little Rock and Harrison Ar and they close all the time.
They closed about 4 weeks ago with the ice storms and up here in ohio we got dumped on with 9 inches of snow and still came into work with no issues.
The south will rise again....just not in the winter. LOL....
The Tennessee Valley is known for its Bipolar weather. Its not that it changes abruptly... its that meteorologists cannot get accurate readings. Case in point.. they call for snow at the end of the week during the beginning of the week.. By the middle of the week the forcast has changed to possible rain, rising temps. That Friday while on my way to my 10:45 class (bout a 35 minute drive) About 3-4 incehs of slush and snow just magically fall out of the sky almost instantly. 2 days later we have temps in the upper 60's.....:main_huh:
