I have a gravid female I'm a little concerned about. She normally goes about 3weeks before laying her eggs and were coming to the end of the 4th week in a few days. She's gigantic, and hasn't been digging at all, just laying on the heat pad (in the cave)

Many females slow down during the end of the season. If it's only been 4 weeks now, I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe posting a picture would also help :)

I’ve just starting breeding, but I have already had some females that take longer to lay eggs than others. I have actually had a female lay 2 clutches 3 days apart, and another one lay a once egg clutch, 2 days before she laid a 2 egg clutch. Then I have also had females lay eggs 4 weeks apart. There just seems to be a big time difference in between the gestation period. I don’t know why this is, but I would say you have nothing to worry about.

She's being really wiggly...and she kept chirping at me, so here's the best I could do.

She looks good to me! As Nick said, the gestation period varies greatly. Just try to be patient with her and I'm sure you'll find some eggs before long :main_yes:

They usually should stop eating a week before laying(if they are not loyal to food like mine).

My geckos always eat right until the day they lay. (They are greedy though and will eat right out my hand during a car trip.)

I had a girl lay last night. And she had ate a lot. I gave her the occasional pinky. I told my brother to feed the rest of my geckos pinkies. He may had thought all of them. So one of my other kinds of lizards didn't get their pinky. He gave another one to her. Then my mom caught two escaped crickets and put them in her cage (mom's favorite gecko). Since she laid though, she'll get another meal, just cause I don't like not feeding after laying.
