Actually they dont, theyre water bugs. They dont have really big jaws unlike the orange centipedes you can find. But it doesnt keep them from scaring the heedy jeedys out of me whenever i see them run in front of me.

From the referenced article:
They feed on one specimen while holding the others with their quivering, lashing appendages (Lewis 1981).

That has to be one of the most terrifying sentences I've heard in a long time...

Yeah, that fuzzy bug is NOT a water bug...Because I've never seen any of the nasty things anywhere in the area of water. I actually haven't seen one since seeing that mutant...I should probably go no on wood...

Any centipede can bite but I have never heard of a bite and I have never been bitten.... I have caught these by hand on many occations.... They are absolutly harmless unless you are a bug.... They want nothing to do with human interaction and will do all they can to avoid people... When I see them, I leave them alone... Why??? Because they are good to have around.... They will eat escaped crickets or any other insect they come across.... But If my girlfriend sees them I have to catch them and take them outside....

I think they are pretty cool, actually....

Paul, you'll become immune once you start driving and have to dodge roadkill every three blocks. Tonya is just helping to de-sensitize you.
