Getting impatient...

I have eggs incubating at 82/83. My first one at that temp hatched on day 46. I have 2 in there on day 52 & 51 that still haven't hatched. I can see the baby moving in the one egg and can see the shadow of the baby in the other. I really expected them to hatch when the first one did so now I'm confused. It's now 6 days later than the other one. I just really hope they'll hatch with no problems and soon! I'm dying to see what they are! I have 2 more at 85 that are due in three days. I hope these eggs hatch first!

Most of the ones that I have incubated at 52-53 have hatched at day 55-57. Not sure if that is the norm but that has been my experience so far.

Kristi, we are in the same boat as you, except today is day 50 for us :main_yes: We too thought they would only take about 45 days or so, but have read that many other people have had them taken 55 days, as ruby also said. We just gotta be patient! They should be hatching by or before the weekend ;)

More RAPTOR eggs?

One is an enigma het bell by tang bell (her last two were bad and there was only one good one with this clutch) and the other is aptor poss het raptor by eclipse het tremper. I've only had one egg hatch from that pairing so far and it was an eclipse. There is only one egg from that clutch, too. I am such an impatient person! I know it will be soon though.:)

Which pairing are you waiting on?

Last year my eggs were going up to 90 days and totally healthy and this year I am right around 60 days at the same temp you are. As long as the eggs are still plump then you shouldn't worry. If you notice them deflate I would cut them out asap.

I see why you're getting impatient!

My eggs at that temp have hatched between 50-55 days.

If it makes you feel any better. I'm waiting on my first set of U.Phantasticus eggs, now at 105 days! To make it worse, I've been checking them three times a day since day 80...The wait is killing me...

105 days! I could never wait that long. I'm actually not too bad until I know they're close. Then I'm checking constantly. Now I have my husband checking a lot, too.:)

I've heard they can go 130+ days! Let's hope they don't decide to wait that long...

Hopefully they'll pop out soon for you!

That's exactly how we are, once we know they are close, we just check them constantly :main_yes: :main_yes: :main_yes: I hope everyone's hatch soon (but not too soon!) ;)

Yeah, I am in the same situation.

I'm incubating at 88-90 degrees...and this egg is 36 days old. There is no shadow or nothing. My other eggs at least were larger and had more mass, and showed somewhat of a shadow.

This egg is just red, but it is still moving inside. As long as it isn't rotting....

I hate to bring up bad news, but eggs incubating at 90 degrees shouldn't take 47 days.. :main_no:

I am aware of that, but I can see this one moving (alive) in the egg as of two days ago.

The first egg is hatching right now. Hopefully the baby will be ok. He/she is about halfway out and breathing pretty heavy. I'll be checking on it again soon. I can already see that it's an enigma.:)

Oh my!! How so very exciting!!!! IMO, breathing heavily can be pretty normal, as getting out of the shell can be a lot of work.. try not to worry so much (I know it's hard), I am sure he is going to be perfect :) Can't wait to see pics!!
