I have a friend that has a golden gecko, she says she is going to get a leopard gecko to put in with him. Is this ok....do they eat the same thing, need the same temp & need the same set-up??
I thought that you shouldn't mix the speces.

It has been said before but i'll say it again.. NO!!!

If your friend really wants a golden gecko tell them to get another tank and follow all the requirements needed for that specific gecko. Do not mix different geckos together into the same enclosure it can be very hazardous.

You were correct in your thought that different species should not be housed together. Golden Geckos and Leopard Geckos come from completely different geographical regions and have different habitat needs.

certain species can be housed together, but theese are definitly NOT species to be mixed. leos need a dry habitat. GGs need a humid habitat. As heather said there are many other reasons as well.
