Hi
Just wanted to say thanks for the helpful information on your message boards about gecko health. My son's gecko had not eaten for about two weeks and appeared to be blind - he was getting thinner and had a lot of difficulty shedding. He also refused to open his eyes. I took him to a reptile vet who prescribed two weeks of antibiotics because he had several sores inside his mouth. In addition, he told me to get rid of the "calcium" sand, increase the heat, and feed him prescription cat food with a small syringe. That was about four weeks ago and yesterday Goldeneye finally ate some mealworms on his own! His infection has cleared up and a bit of antibiotic eye ointment has also cleared up his eyes. He is back to his old self (he is 8-10 years old!) and has had a recent complete shed that was painless. He is starting to protest his morning baths so probably won't need those everyday from now on. I am using paper towel in his cage and he has adapted well to that. Lori
