Are they blocking the stairs? Little devils. Look at those horn-ears >>. Gettem a pitchfork for halloween and a little midget red cape. And yeahhh...The little dog did it. Seriously. We have a dog as big as i am, and used to have a cat a little runt of the litter female calico the size of a rabbit, and the cat made more mess.

The boys look so handsome sitting like that. Our old landlords show Danes so we had 7 that lived 15 feet from our bedroom window. I'm sure you can imagine how fun it was when the squirrels were harassing them! They're a wonderful breed though and yours are especially nice!

man! Makes me miss Boo & Jerry even more. We had a "Boston" (all black with a white mark on the chest & toes) for 8 years. She was awesome. Jerry was a harlequin & couldn't have been dumber if he tried. He had epilepsy & was a rescue. Your danes are stunning!!!! Give them a good rub from me :)

Thanks everyone! We love 'em! Erik, the mantle (black w/white chest, socks, belly tail, & muzzle) is our first show dog. It's been a really fun experience. Loki, the harlequin, has Addison's Disease and is borderline hypothyroid. He's a little extra work, but he's my baby! Sadie (blue merle) is actually a foster girl that we've had since February. She just turned 2 in July. She's up for adoption! ;) Anyway, we've had Danes since I was 4. I can't live without them. Just thought I'd share. :D

Very cool - you've got some gorgeous dogs there. Danes have such awesome personalities. My standard poodle was diagnosed with addisons almost two years ago. It's been interesting adjusting to that! She's been doing great on percorten/pred though...

Wow! Great job, Whitney! I just love the u tube vid of the dane with the baby. My boys taught my (now) 3 year old niece to walk. She'd stand up between the two of them and grab their collars and off they went! It was the cutest darn thing!

I am officially addicted! ;)

I just got back (about a week ago) from the Great Dane National Specialty show in Lancaster, PA. What fun! I don't think I've ever seen so many Danes in one place at one time! I was in heaven! And, to top it off, my Mantle boy's (Erik) litter sister placed 1st in her class (Open Mantle Bitches). It was a great week. Erik did not go as he still needs to mature a bit more! Next year!! :main_yes:

Sorry to ramble! I think I should refrain from typing when tired! lol

I had a brindle female named Delilah, we plan on getting another when we own the house. I adore Dane's personalities, and love how they think they are "lap dogs" haha!

Thanks for all of the wonderful comments, everyone!

Yes, Whitney, we are showing the Mantle boy (mostly black with white muzzle, blaze, chest, belly, collar, stockings, and tail tip). He is in an awkward stage right now and needs some weight on him before getting back in the ring (hopefully this spring!). They're tons of fun. I wouldn't trade them for the world!
