That's one of the NZ geckos I mentioned, I think that one's the Westland Green.

That picture looks like a Naultinus Gemmeus. If i remembered the spelling correctly.

And for people that don't like scientific names The Jewelled Gecko.

 Well sorry to cause a scene over no photographic evidence. His video was on his old phone, and reformatted his SD card when he got the new one. I guess the best way to describe her was a bright green head with a green to yellow body with stripes, and the normal tail. I just remember thinking how green it was.

He says the parents were normal morphs, but he did agree that she was the brightest green he had seen, I guess he just never thought much out of it considering the parents were normals.

No it wasn't a joke, he just doesn't have any pictures or videos anymore, so it is hard to prove what I saw. Like I said, it had a bright green head with a yellow to green body, and the leopard gecko tail because it was a leopard gecko, apparently a very vivid normal one.

I don't see how their genetics can produce a yellow green. They don't have the ability to adjust their melanin content to get that color yet. As close as anyone has gotten would be the pacific tang. But it isn't yellowish green. The green in leopard geckos still contains blue from lavender genes. You would have to get straight green first, and that hasn't happened. If you started with purple you could get it faster, because red and lavender are already possible, then you could progress to yellow green. But that is way down the road. Without a picture or video we won't know if you are telling the truth, even if you are.

It wouldn't have been one of the New Zealand species, they are... pricey. Nobody is going to own one and not know what it is.

Turns out it's nothing entertaining at all though. Just the kind of warped perspective that ensures every snake call is to go see a thirty foot monster and every fish that got away was Moby Dick.

I totally agree. The closest thing to her body color is the gecko time ad at the top of the page, which is not much greener than a normal morph, but the head was what was so bright. It was like the green color over the eyes was spread over the entire head. I don't have any reason to lie, I'm not a breeder, I'm not trying to sell something, I own 1 leo, I just wanted to know if anyone else had ever heard or seen one like it.
