Hello to all,
I am new to Tokay’s and giving them a try to keep the pest down in my greenhouse. I can post some photos of the greenhouse if need be. I have read up on how to care for them and had one question on the night temperature. Can it take temperatures in to the low 60s like 65?
Thanks
Jeff

sounds like it might be a bit cold, but not too bad. 65 is ok. if you manage to get them to breed in there, i bet a few generations later they will be fine.

Ok I did it and got 3 Tokay’s 1 male and 2 females. I let them go in different spots in the greenhouse. That was yesterday and to day I can only find the 1 female. I hope that they did not get out. The greenhouse should be air tight. Here are some pictures.

Very nice, they are nocturnal so you may not see them during the day. I have a fwe loose in the house and have had them jump out of a dark closet at me and scare the crap out of me from time to time lol

It has been a week with Tokay’s in my greenhouse and they look to doing ok now but I do not know if there eating or not. As soon as the sun goes down the Tokay’s are gone and I can not find then. Maybe they are hunting? I have been putting crickets in the greenhouse for them to eat. They hide about 4 feet off the ground. Will they go higher up if there are places to hide? Do they only hunt and eat at night?

they'll probably only be hunting for food at night or when you're not there looking for them
